STUDENTS. ALWAYS. WIN.

AN ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE E.V.E.R. PROJECT.
PUBLISHED JUNE 24TH, 2025.

On this day, June 24th, 2025, students at Kansas City Academy recieved news that justice had finally been served. On June 24th, news broke that disgraced middle school English and Social Studies teacher, Patrick Sprehe, had been fired or removed from his position as an English and Social Studies teacher at Kansas City Academy.

Sprehe served one full school year at KCA as an English teacher and Social Studies teacher for middle school students. Multiple reports were made throughout that school year from students and parents to the principal and school board about offensive/hurtful remarks and actions he repeatedly made in classes, specifically with his 7th and 6th grade students.

Reports included multiple instances of publicly sharing student grades with their classmates, which counts for multiple FERPA violations, offensive remarks to students with accommodations and neurodivergent students, and more unfair treatment to students that went ignored by the school's administrators for the entire 2024-25 school year.

It was not stated whether he quit or was fired, but is speculated by students that he was fired due to the multiple counts of violations made against his students. This is a perfect example of how students can make a change for the better and to help improve learning environments for them and their peers.

The E.V.E.R. Project will be shut down and no other action will be taken by the project, but this announcement page will remain online as a symbol of strength, peace, and unity for students everywhere. Thank you for your support in this project. Your support helps children feel safe in learning environments and schools and equality for all students.

THANK YOU. <3
